ST 112 - Surgical Pharmacology This course is designed to assist the student with learning the principles of pharmacology within surgery. Rationale for commonly used medications used intraoperatively will be discussed, along with side effects and how they may alter the surgical intervention. The course will also include rationale behind labeling medications. Discussions related to principles of anesthesia, equipment used by anesthesia and complications will be presented.
Prerequisite COMM 100 or COMM 105 , ST 110 and BIOL 146 “C” or better; concurrent enrollment in BIOL 261 .
Credits: 3 Lecture Hours 2.5 Lab Hours 1 lab hour per week
