ENGT 187 - Basic CNC Operation


This course teaches the basic setup processes involved in the operation of CNC machines which include, among others, the use of wigglers, set blocks, feelers, set bars and other devices to establish the accurate location of the part, changing cutter offsets to accurately modify the machining to hold tight tolerances, the correct use of digital probes for tool setting on a CNC lathe and mill, and the unique safety features on CNC machines and how and why they can be safely bypassed during setup.

ENGT 186  ”C” or better or concurrent enrollment in ENGT 186
