POLS 200 - Intro to Political Thought


This course introduces the main issues of social and political theory such as justice, authority, obligation, liberties, rights, power, freedom, and equality. Topics may include the concepts that shape the contemporary political world, the contributions of political theory to the development of modern social systems, and the perspectives offered by social and political theorists on issues such as justice, freedom, equality, sovereignty, racism, sexism, and class.

Prerequisite
Appropriate placement score; or Instructor consent, or ENG 101C  or ENG 101  or concurrent enrollment in ENG 101C  or ENG 101 , or Eligibility for ENG 101C  or ENG 101  based on prior coursework
