OTA 202 - Physical Rehab Practice

Physical Rehab Practice explores principles and practice of observing, assessing, documenting, teaching, adapting, and grading self-care, work, and play/leisure for individuals with physical challenges. Emphasis will be placed on techniques and equipment that maximize participation in meaningful occupations, improve independence, assure safety, and prevent deformity. Ethical, critical and clinical reasoning, considerations of culture and environment are examined as an integral component of occupational therapy assistant practice.

OTA 155, OTA 161, OTA 171, and OTA 175 “C” or better
