SOC 222 - Introduction to Social Work Introductory survey of social work in the context of the social welfare services and policies, including their historical origins, conceptual framework, and contemporary foci. Overviews principal social work values, codes of ethics, practice methods, research considerations, and policy issues. Emphasizes the unique experiences of diverse and at-risk population groups facing various social challenges.
Prerequisite SOC 101 or instructor consent.
